NGOs

EACOP take a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, maintaining a high level of transparency and promoting dialogue including with civil society organisations (CSOs) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Regular stakeholder engagement occurs in both Uganda and Tanzania with the full spectrum of stakeholders for the Project and its associated facilities including:

• National, regional and local governmental authorities as well as intergovernmental organisations
• Project affected communities and peoples
• Traditional and religious authorities
• Local businesses and tourism operators
• Developers of associated facilities
• Civil society organisations and non-governmental organisations
• Academic and research organisations
