EACOP Receives Inclusivity Award at the 5th Annual PAU Conference
On Friday, November 30, 2024, EACOP was honored with the Inclusivity Award during the 5th Annual PAU Conference. This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within our workforce and community engagement efforts.
The award was presented in acknowledgment of the significant number of women employed on the EACOP project, reflecting our dedication to gender equality in the workplace. We believe that empowering women not only strengthens our team but also contributes to the overall success of the project, fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.
In addition to our focus on gender equity, EACOP has actively engaged with youth through various capacity-building initiatives and skill development programs. These efforts aim to equip the younger generation with the necessary tools to thrive in the energy sector and beyond. By investing in youth empowerment, we are cultivating a skilled workforce that will drive sustainable development in the region.
Furthermore, our commitment to community engagement has been a cornerstone of the EACOP project. We have prioritized meaningful interactions with local communities, ensuring that our project activities align with their needs and aspirations. This approach has strengthened our relationships with community members and has encouraged a sense of ownership and participation in the project.
Receiving the Inclusivity Award is evidence of our ongoing efforts to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all stakeholders involved in the EACOP project. As we move forward, we remain committed to building on these successes and continuing our work to empower women, engage youth, and collaborate closely with the communities we serve.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) for this recognition and to all our partners and stakeholders who contribute to making EACOP a model for inclusivity in the energy sector. Together, we can continue to pave the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
