EACOP Launches Liaison Office in Hoima District
Following the Final Investment Decision (FID) that was taken on the 1st of February 2022, East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Ltd on 15th February concluded the formation of the company that will construct the 1,443km long, East African Crude Oil Pipeline from Kabaale, in Uganda’s Hoima District to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania.
The Company seeks to improve on its presence in the project areas by establishing liaison offices in the different locations along the pipeline route.
The establishment of the Liaison Office in Kijungu, Hoima City, today 12th August 2022, is therefore an important part of the Projects overall commitment to stakeholder engagement, consultation of the affected communities, and respect for their rights to information.
